Conclave 2022 – June 24th-26th

Everyone, whether clergy, laity, or unaffiliated friend is invited to our church’s yearly Conclave. Due to continued travel restrictions, our Conclave will once again be held online, starting June 24th and running through June 26th. The lectures will be available on zoom and those that register will receive links to watch them later at leisure. Please consider participating as many speakers allow for questions and those tend to create a whole new lively debate even after the official lecture has ended.

For more information visit the main johannite.org website and click on the Conclave tab or you may go there directly by clicking this link.

June Gnostic Mass- Cancelled due to Conclave

This month’s Gnostic Mass is cancelled due to this year’s Conclave, which is at the end of the month, from the 24th through the 26th. After Conclave we will resume our monthly Mass as usual.

More information on Conclave can be found at: https://www.johannite.org/conclave-2022/

May 22nd – Mass of Saint Sarah the Egyptian

We will be having our regular monthly Mass on Sunday, May 22nd at Unity Church, 3597 Parkway Ln, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 in the class room, Room 111, at 2pm until 4pm. After the Mass, there will be a discussion of Qabalah and it’s influence on esoteric understanding. Afterward, there will be a meal. So come hungry for sustenance both spiritual and mundane.

An Amazing Weekend!

The Official Visit of His Excellency, Bishop Scott Rassbach, was a rare treat for the community. His cleverness and insight was a real boost to both the intellectual and spiritual health of the community and our services together were a blessing to everyone involved. We had one baptism, four confirmations, and our Senior Warden, Olivia Riley, was consecrated as an Acolyte, allowing her to assist and serve at the holy altar during Mass. But beyond any advancements that took place “on paper,” there was a general spiritual elevation of the entire community; a gnostic revival, if you will. All of us who were present have been positively impacted by this weekend and without exception, everyone is renewed and restored in their dedication to the Great Work.

Truly, let it be said, “Little is much if God is in it.”
Love, Light, and Gnosis to all.
~Rev. Deacon Joe Revels

December 5th – Gnostic Mass and Baptism

In addition to our end of the year Gnostic Mass focusing on Advent and the Christmas Season, we will be performing a Baptismal Service for a new member of the parish. It will be held at Unity Spiritual Center, 3597 Parkway Lane, Peachtree Commons, GA, 30092 on December 5th, at 2pm in the Chapel. Everyone is welcome to attend this happy affair.

November 6th – Gnostic Mass

We are having our monthly Gnostic Mass on November 6th, 2021 from 4pm-6pm at the Unity Spiritual Center at 3597 Parkway Lane, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. In addition to Mass and a brief homily, there will be instruction on the meaning of Esoteric Christianity and it’s application to the life and study of a Gnostic practitioner. Anyone interested in attending is welcome to do so and as always you may contact the Rector, Rev. Joe Revels, by emailing [email protected]

June 23rd – Seekers Assemble!

After a dreadfully long hiatus, St. John’s is back and better than ever. We will be having a zoom call for all of our members and all of those who have expressed interest in the community over the past year. The call will be on the evening of June 23rd, at 7:00pm Eastern and anyone interested in being on the call should contact Reverend Joe at [email protected]

Narthex No More! – June 5th, 2021

With the Ordination of Brother Joe Revels to Major Orders, St. John the Baptist Narthex becomes St. John the Baptist Parish! This creates a number of new rights and responsibilities for the leadership as well as members, the most important of which is the ability and the requirement to hold regular Johannite Mass. This change in format will be discussed at our next meeting.

Ordination to the Deaconate – June 5th, 2021

As of June 5th, 2021, our Narthex leader, Joe Revels, has been ordained into the Major Orders of the church as a Deacon on his way (hopefully!) to the priesthood in years to come. But before that time, he is commited to performing his duties to the church to a level of excellence worthy of the title with which he has been bestowed. As always, Reverend Joe is available for questions, discussions, and people interested in St. John’s Parish via email at [email protected]

Meetings Cancelled

Because of the continuing situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, Narthex meetings are cancelled until further notice. However, our Narthex leader, Reverend Mr. Joe Revels will still be available via Skype, Google Hangouts, or other online contact method. If anyone needs prayer or a kind ear during this troubling time, do not hesitate to contact him via email at [email protected] .

Also, we regret to inform everyone that due to the continuing threat of the virus and the closing of borders to travel, Conclave has been cancelled as well. This has been especially hard on our Patriarch so remember him in your prayers.
