Originally consecrated as a Bishop for another denomination, His Grace affiliated with the Apostolic Johannite Church in 2004.

His Grace has devoted his life to the pursuit of the Sacred Flame. An accomplished initiate of several groups and Orders, His Grace wastes no time in making clear and accessible the mysteries and timeless wisdom of the Gnostic path.  A true scholar, His Grace earned his Ph.D from DePaul University in the United States, in addition to degrees in Fine Arts. He currently teaches Philosophy as a Lecturer at a major University.

His Grace’s passion is not limited to the spiritual, he is an accomplished brewer, enjoys theatre and a wide range of cultural pursuits.

 John J. DiGilio, MLIS, JD

 Deacon, Rector

John DiGilio served at the altar with His Grace Mar +Thomas.  He received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University and is currently the National Manager of Research  Services for a major, international law firm.  Deacon John was the rector of our Chicago parish, St. John the Revelator.  A native of Pennsylvania, he lived in Chicago, IL  with his husband until they relocated to Los Angeles, CA to form a new AJC body on the west coast.  He is enrolled as a student at St. Raphael the Archangel Theological Seminary.  John also studies Soto Zen Buddhism and Vedanta.

Juliana Eimer, Ph.D. (Memory eternal)

Subdeacon

Juliana Eimer served at the altar with His Grace Mar +Thomas for many years.  She received her Ph.D. in Philosophy from Penn State University and worked as a Lecturer in Philosophy in Chicago, IL.  A native of British Columbia, Dr. Eimer lived in Kenosha WI until her death in 2016.

 Matthew J. Backus

 Deacon, Narthex Leader

Rev. Mr. Backus served as leader of our Indiana outpost, the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Narthex until October of 2016.  Matthew was Preceptor of the Indiana CIRCES Temple in Chesterton and Worshipful Master of Garfield Masonic Lodge. He has served as the Presiding Officer of all three of Hammond York Rite Bodies as well as the Tall Cedars of Lebanon.  Rev. Mr. Matthew has recently relocated to Dublin, Ireland to found a new AJC body, and we wish him all success.
